Markt der Kontinente

Berlin’s only Christmas market with arts & crafts and cultural events from all over the world – right in the middle of the museum complex!

Buy gifts | Enjoy live music | See exhibitions

Added bonus: Special anniversary event for 2016!
On four weekends you can find unique Christmas gifts in the Museen Dahlem and experience the culture of each continent in the exhibitions and live on stage.
Around 60 merchants, artists and organisations will present wares from a variety of regions from all over the world.
There is a special focus on the products which are produced locally in the respective countries: Sales of these products support local projects.
The impressive range of products includes hand-weaved African fabrics, Indian jewellery, felt goods from Kazakhstan, colourful South American wall hangings, Australian hammocks and bags produced in Ghana which are made from recycled materials.
On each weekend of the market one band will showcase the musical culture of each continent. Their sounds can be heard in several concerts and music workshops on each day of the market, ranging from traditional roots to the multi-cultural present.
